“Billy reaches into the tension of navigating truth inside the believing community with honor and humility. I love these songs”

“‘All the Wolves’ will cause the squeamish to turn and run, put the ‘wolves’ on notice, be an alarm to the sheep, and a clarion call to true shepherds.”

-Voddie Baucham, Jr.: Pastor, Professor, Author, Conference Speaker, Dean of Theology at African Christian University in Zambia

“When Billy shared this new project with me, I felt like I was listening to the blended spirits of Dylan and King David. After many listenings now, I’m convinced this may be one of the most important prophetic confrontations the American religious system needs. Billy is not angry nor venting. He is weeping and lamenting over a wayward bride. Listen with your HEART. It is obvious Billy did.”

-Mike Curry: Founder/President of Light Ministries

“This project is full of hard words to hear... but it’s good. It’s true. It’s right. Sure, it would be easier for Billy to put out more anthems for the church like “Amazing Love”, “Sing to the King”, or “You are God Alone”…but Billy chose to speak the words that God gave him even though it’s hard. That’s why I have nothing but respect for Billy and for this project. (And as a bonus…the songs are really, REALLY good.)”

Billy and Cindy Foote love Jesus and they love the church. That’s what lends such credibility to this new project, “World Burning Down.” I have known Billy and Cindy both personally for years. They are not on the outside of the church pointing fingers. They are actively engaged Christ-followers who are willing to talk about (and sing about) hard topics that are rarely, if ever, discussed within the church. The candid lyrical content of this project, coupled with the captivating musical arrangements, make it a compelling listen. The closest comparison that I could make of my experience hearing the tracks of “World Burning Down” would be when I first listened decades ago to the music of the late Keith Green. Like Keith Green, Billy and Cindy are willing to take the risk of “saying out loud” things that need to be and should be said.  “World Burning Down” is not controversial, it’s consequential. Listen to these uncommon songs and don’t be condemned by them. Be converted by them.
